Dr. Joseph Saracino, MD Board-certified gastroenterologist Joseph Saracino, MD, FACG, FACP, has been practicing in Kinston, North Carolina, since 1992. At his practice, Joseph Saracino, MD, he and his friendly staff provide comprehensive and compassionate care to patients throughout Eastern North Carolina. Dr. Saracino specializes in treating gastrointestinal diseases and disorders such as heartburn, acid reflux, Crohn’s Disease, gallstones, and irritable bowel syndrome, to name a few. He is also the only gastroenterologist in the area who performs BARRX™ Halo Ablation for Barrett’s esophagus, gastric antral vascular ectasia, and radiation proctitis. Dr. Saracino received his medical degree from UMDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. He went on to complete a fellowship at UHS-Chicago Medical School. Dr. Saracino is a former professional speaker for AstraZeneca, TAKEDA, and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. In 2004, Dr. Saracino opened his own practice, where he was the first gastroenterologist in Lenoir County to have a state-of-the-art endoscopy facility, completed in June 2007. The Park Endoscopy Center is AAAHC-certified and licensed by the State of North Carolina. Dr. Saracino was also the first to introduce M2A Capsule Endoscopy (PillCam) to Eastern North Carolina in 2003. Dr. Saracino is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Association of the Study of Liver Diseases.
